Welcome to Stone Square Lodge No. 22, Prince Hall Affiliation, of Middletown, Delaware.

Whether you are visiting to learn about Freemasonry, looking to connect with our Lodge, or simply curious about who we are and what we do, I am glad you are here. Stone Square is a Lodge built on brotherhood, service, and a deep respect for the legacy handed down to us through Prince Hall Freemasonry. We honor where we came from, and we stay grounded in the values that still matter today: order, respect, accountability, and a genuine commitment to the people around us.

Our work reaches beyond these walls. Through fellowship and service, we strive to be a steady presence in our community, men who show up, give back, and lead by example. We believe progress is built the same way it always has been, one stone at a time, together.

About the Worshipful Master

A Legacy Continued

W. Aaron Dixon-Saunders is someone who leads with genuine care for people, not because of a title but because that is simply who he is.

Aaron grew up watching Masonry lived out in real time. His grandfather was a Mason. His father, PM William Aubrey Saunders, is a Mason and a Past Master of Stone Square Lodge No. 22. He was raised under the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, which traces directly to African Lodge No. 459 in Boston, the founding lodge of Prince Hall Freemasonry and the source from which every Prince Hall lodge in the world descends. His brother Sterling is a United States Army veteran and a fellow Brother of Stone Square Lodge No. 22.

For Aaron, Masonry was never abstract. It was in his house. It was in how the men around him carried themselves, how they treated people, and how they showed up for their communities. Long before he ever petitioned a lodge, he already understood what it meant.

He became a Master Mason on April 19, 2014, and has served Stone Square Lodge No. 22 in several capacities since. Beyond his local Lodge work, Aaron serves the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Delaware as Chairman of the Website and Social Media Committee, where he oversees the Grand Lodge’s digital presence, communications, and online outreach across the jurisdiction. Being elected Worshipful Master for the 2026 to 2027 Masonic Year is something he does not take lightly, particularly because he follows in his father’s footsteps in that same chair.

Professionally, Aaron works in information technology, cybersecurity, compliance, and digital design. He is the kind of person who thinks in systems and solutions, but never loses sight of the people behind the problem. That same mindset is what led him naturally into the Grand Lodge’s digital work, bringing a professional standard to how the jurisdiction communicates and presents itself.

Outside of work and the Lodge, he is grounded by faith and family. He has a way of making a room more comfortable just by being in it, and he leads the same way: steady, honest, and genuinely invested in the people around him.

He is honored to serve Stone Square Lodge No. 22, to represent the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Delaware in his committee role, and to continue a legacy that started long before he ever took a seat in the East.
