Privacy Policy
Plain answers about what this site collects and how it's used.
Effective July 11, 2026
This policy covers stonesquare22pha.org, the website of Stone Square Lodge No. 22, F.&A.M., PHA, of Middletown, Delaware. The short version: we collect what you choose to send us, we use standard analytics to understand how the site is used, and we do not sell anyone's information. The details follow.
What you send us
If you use the contact form, we receive what you type: your name, email address, and message. Submissions are processed by Wix, our website platform, and delivered to the Lodge. We use them for one purpose: responding to you.
The app and Lodge alerts
You can add this site to your phone's home screen as an app and turn on push notifications for Lodge events and, for Brothers, stated meetings. This is entirely optional and stays off until you choose it.
When you turn on alerts we ask for your first name, last name, and email so we know who you are and can address you properly. A Brother visiting from another lodge also provides that lodge's name and, if he wishes, his title or office. Brothers of Stone Square No. 22 are checked against our membership roster to confirm eligibility for meeting alerts; a sign-up that doesn't match is held for the Worshipful Master to review. This information, together with the technical subscription your browser creates, is stored in the Lodge's own records and used only to send you Lodge announcements. We also keep a simple internal log of who signs up.
Notifications are delivered through your device's own push service (Apple or Google), as all web notifications are. We do not use an outside marketing service, and we never sell or rent this information. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings, and you can email us to be removed from our records entirely.
What's collected automatically
Two analytics tools run on this site:
- Google Analytics measures visits and traffic sources, and sets cookies to do it.
- Our own visit count (first-party) — the site keeps a simple tally of which pages are viewed, recording the page, the site you arrived from, your device type, and country. To count unique visitors it uses a code that is scrambled fresh each day from your connection and browser; it is never reversible to you, is not a cookie, and no name or stored IP address is kept. This stays on the Lodge's own systems and helps leadership see which pages are useful.
- Microsoft Clarity records anonymized session replays and heatmaps (where visitors click, scroll, and move on a page) and also uses cookies. We use it to improve how the site works.
- IP address (security only) — when you request access to the Brothers' Library or sign up for Lodge alerts, we record the IP address of the connection along with the time. We use this solely to protect those features from abuse and to keep an access record for the Worshipful Master. It is not used for advertising, is visible only to Lodge leadership, and is discarded on our normal cleanup cycle (about 90 days).
None of this identifies you by name. If you would rather not be counted, you can block cookies in your browser, browse privately, or install Google's opt-out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Dues and donations
Dues and donations are processed by Zeffy on Zeffy's own secure platform. Your payment details go to Zeffy, not to this website, and Zeffy's privacy policy governs that transaction. We never see or store card numbers.
Who touches the data
A small set of services keeps this site running, each under its own privacy policy: Wix (hosting and forms), Google and Microsoft (analytics), and Zeffy (payments). Beyond those, information is shared only if the law requires it.
Children
This site is informational and intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
