Our hall, kitchen, and grounds are open to community groups and organizations in Middletown.
A Place for the Community
Stone Square Lodge No. 22 was chartered in 1894, and for most of that time the brethren had no building to call their own. The home we finally built on East Lake Street has never belonged only to us. Meetings, programs, dinners, drives, and family gatherings have all happened under this roof, and we are glad to keep it that way.
If your group needs a room, a kitchen, or open ground in Middletown, tell us what you need and when. Requests come straight to the Worshipful Master and the Chairman of Building and Grounds, and you will hear back from us by email.
What You Can Request
The back yard
Open ground with a fire pit and a grill area. Good for cookouts, family gatherings, and warm-weather events.
The front yard
The lawn along East Lake Street. Suited to outdoor drives, giveaways, and events that want to be seen from the road.
You can ask for more than one at a time. A cookout that needs the kitchen and the back yard together is one request, not two.
How It Works

Tell us what you need
Choose the part of the property, pick your date or dates on the calendar, and set your times. The calendar shows which days are already taken, so you will know before you ask.

Sign the building-use agreement
Groups from outside the Lodge sign the agreement as part of the request, right on the form. The Masonic houses that already meet here hold an agreement with us and can skip that step.

We answer you
Your request goes to the Worshipful Master and the Chairman of Building and Grounds. You will get an email with our answer and a reference number you can check any time.
Questions We Are Asked
Who can use the building?
Community organizations, churches, fraternities and sororities, civic groups, and neighbors, along with the Masonic houses that already meet at 208 East Lake Street.
How far ahead should I ask?
As early as you can. Dates are given in the order they are requested, and our own meetings and programs are placed on the calendar first.
Can I request more than one date?
Yes. The form takes several dates in one request, each with its own start and end time, which suits a group that meets monthly.
What does it cost?
Our fee schedule is being set by the Lodge. Send your request, and we will give you the figure with our answer, before you are committed to anything.
