2026 to 2027 Officers

William M. McDuffie, known around the Lodge as Brother “Duffy,” has spent his entire adult life in public service. He graduated from high school in 1985 and joined the United States Marine Corps, where he honorably served his country for twelve active-duty years, including during the Gulf War. After leaving the Corps he joined the Jacksonville Police Department, and he continued to serve in uniform with the United States Air Force Reserve.

September 11, 2001 changed his life, as it did for every American. After the attack on the Twin Towers, he decided that another 9/11 would never happen on his watch, and he became a United States Federal Air Marshal. For over sixteen years he has helped protect our skies and keep commercial aircraft safe. While serving as an Air Marshal he also continued in the Air Force Reserve as an Intelligence Analyst, deploying three times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His service has taken him all over the world: nearly every country in Europe, most of the Middle East, and every state in the union.

In 2016 he retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of military service, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant and as Superintendent of the 911th Air Wing Intelligence Squadron. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and his master’s in Organizational Leadership from Robert Morris University, and he is currently pursuing a second master’s in Information Security Technology and a PhD in Educational Organizational Leadership. Today he serves as a Transportation Security Specialist with the Transportation Security Administration and as Secretary of Stone Square Lodge No. 22.
